Manchester Drive Allotment Society

It is with great regret that I have to tell you that last week, one of our popular and loyal members and former treasurer, Roy Boughtwood, passed away in Southend Hospital.  

Roy gave a lot of time and effort to look after the MDAS accounts and only gave up the job three years ago.  He was always available to have a quick, friendly chat and carried out this job quietly and efficiently.  He was a great help to me during the time I was Chairman.   People like Roy are the heart and soul of organisations like ours so we shall greatly miss him.  Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
