That is why the Committee have taken the decision to block access to the tracks. We don't want to make matters worse by allowing cars to move freely across the site and risk sliding across other plots and causing further damage.
Last winter we had a situation where the AA had to be called out to rescue a plot-holder who had driven along the rutted tracks and got stuck. Only last week another member complained that vehicles were slipping and sliding in the mud and drifting on to the plots.
We know that this decision can cause some inconvenience but are sure that you can understand why it was necessary. As a reminder, heavy wooden railways sleepers are blocking the tracks. You shoould leave your car close to the huts where there is ample parking space - although that is getting very 'boggy' as well.
It's hard to imagine that in eight months time we may be concerned about a lack of water!
