FLOUTING THE RULES

Once again, a very small minority of people visiting the Manchester Drive allotment site are refusing to take any notice of their tenancy agreement.  Last week, MDAS and Leigh Town Council took the common-sense decision to use wooden sleepers to prevent vehicles driving along the tracks and causing further damage during the winter months.  Many plot-holders have welcomed this move and are prepared to leave their cars at the car park and walk the rest of the way!

But there's always at least one person who objects and, regretably, becomes very objectionable when reminded that there are good reasons for making the decision.  It's that sort of attitude that spoils the harmony and spirit of the MDAS community.   If you see someone driving a vehicle on the tracks then please report them to Leigh Town Council.   Allotments exist for everyone to enjoy and one aggressive and defiant character must not be allowed to spoil it for everyone.
