Manchester Drive Allotment Society

We all knew that Manchester Drive Allotment Society was the best in Southend - now it's been proved by the results of the 2010 Southend Council Allotments Competition.  MDAS was top - and that's because our list of nominated plots gained the greatest number of points.

We finished ten points ahead of second-placed Gaynes Park Allotment Society and third were Westclif Land Cultivation Society.

We took the first and third places for the best 10 rod plots in the district and second and third places for the best 'new' 10 rod plots.   This is particularly ecouraging because it shows that our newer members are making a great contribution to the Society and taking a very keen interest in deverloping high-quality plots.
