Don't drive on the tracks at the moment -  don't leave the gate open - and don't dump rubbish on other plots.  That's what all plot-holders must remember during these months when the weather is causing us a lot of problems.  Your co-operation is essential.

The ground is saturated and the tracks are suffering.  They are very muddy and sliding vehicles often cause damage on other plots.  A recent incident of a car getting bogged down on the site meant that the AA rescue service was called out - and their heavy recovery vehicle caused even more damage!

Please leave your vehicle at the car park near Manchester Drive and then walk to your plots.  It's becoming almost impossible for smaller cars to move around the site and larger vehicles - trucks and 4 X 4s - only churn up the tracks. 

The gate is also being left un-locked on too many occasions and this invites people to tip unwanted loads on the site.  Fly-tipping is a major worry because it would cost us a lot of money to clear away that rubbish. 

We are planning to have a skip on the site very soon and you should use it to dispose of unwanted rubbish.  Don't leave piles on areas which you think are unused.  They are plots as well.

The membership of MDAS has increased greatly in the past 12 months and we have to make sure that everyone enjoys the benefits of having an allotment.   This is a tough and frustrating time of the year, especially when the weather has been so bad.  So please try to avoid causing any additional damage by driving round the site and dumping rubbish which you could easily take away.

AND DON'T LEAVE THE GATE OPEN!
