BEST IN THE BOROUGH. THAT'S MDAS.

We all knew that Manchester Drive Allotment Society was the best in Southend - now it's been proved by the results of the 2010 Southend Council Allotments Competition.  MDAS was top - and that's because our list of nominated plots gained the greatest number of points.

We finished ten points ahead of second-placed Gaynes Park Allotment Society and third were Westclif Land Cultivation Society.

COMPETITION TIME AGAIN

Judges from Southend Borough Council will soon be visiting the site for the annual Allotment Competition.   We've always given a good account of ourselves and last year finished a very creditable third.   The trophy for the best 10 rod plot in the Borough was won by Peter Hills, our treasurer.

Wednesday, 16th June from 9.00 am is when the judges will be looking round the plots.
